United BJJ Team is at 4024 Strawberry Rd, Pasadena, TX 77504, about 15–20 minutes southeast of central Houston via I-45 and Beltway 8. It also serves Deer Park, La Porte, Pearland, Friendswood, South Houston and Webster.
Professor Carlos Henriquez, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, is the head instructor and owner. He teaches both kids and adult classes and still competes actively. Sensei Gerardo, a Judo Sandan and USA Judo Certified National Coach, leads the Judo program.
Yes. Adult gi classes run Tuesday and Thursday, and adult no-gi runs Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. There is a competition class on Saturday and Judo on Thursday evening. The full weekly timetable is on the homepage.
No. Most members started with no martial arts background at all. Every class is structured so a complete beginner can follow along from the first session.
